"Off and Riding in Missouri"

History:  The American Legion Riders is a group that was first formed in the Garden City, Michigan American Legion Post 396 in 1993.  Each Chapter is sponsored by a local American Legion Post and works in conjunction with the post to provide service to the community, state and nation.  The American Legion Riders are also involved with many charities and veterans issues.

Purpose:  To participate in parades and other ceremonies that are in keeping with the aims and purposes of the American Legion.  To promote motorcycle safety programs and to provide a social; atmosphere for American Legion Family members who share the same interest.  To use our association to promote and support programs of the American Legion.

Brief Guidelines:  You must be a member of the American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary or Sons of the American Legion.  Chapters are sponsored by a local American Legion Post, but membership in the sponsoring post is not required.  The American Legion Riders is NOT a motorcycle club.  It is an association of Legion family members who like to ride.

Meetings:    Meetings are held at the American Legion Post 639 - 2660 South Scenic - Springfield, MO 65807 the third Sunday  of each month at 5:00 PM.  For Information call Post 639 or call Tom Newsom at 417-889-5517 (Tom's Update Page) or click here for ALR Meeting/Agenda/Minutes for other Updates, or you may email us
